WASHBURN SELECTED LADY BEARS AOW

May 11 – Congratulations to senior, Keylie Washburn for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athlete of the Week. Keylie has been a key player for the Lady Bears, and the last 2 playoff games were certainly no exception. Against Gatesville, “The Wash” went 6 for 6 batting 1.000 with a single, double, triple, & 3 home runs racking up 5 RBI’s.  She got on base every at bat with her last at bat being an intentional walk.

BEARS CLAIM AREA CHAMPIONSHIP

May 9 (Jasper) – Bear Baseball claimed the Area Championship with a 2-1 series win over the Liberty Panthers. LCM will take on Salado in round three.

LADY BEARS SWEEP GATESVILLE – ON TO ROUND FOUR

May 9 (Huntsville) – The Lady Bears (32-4-1) got the sweep over Gatesville in the Area Round to advance to round four of the playoffs. LCM opened the series with a domminant 13 -3 win behind a team playoff record 5 homerun game. The Lady Bears took game two on Saturday with a 9-7 win over the Lady Hornets.

SEVEN BEARS SIGN ON THE LINE

May 6 (LCM) – LCM had seven athletes sign to continue their education and academic careers at the next level.  From L-R: Carson Phelps signed with McNeese (Football), Cailynn Nichols signed with Lamar (Cheer), Gracelynn Smith signed with McNeese (STUNT), Ava White signed with Cental Baptist (Volleyball), Jonah Fuller signed with Hendrix College (Football), Carson Forester signed with Hendrix (Tennis), and Janniliz Nazario signed with Culver Stockton (Volleyball).
