TAX RATE HISTORY

Taxes collected from the M&O Rate are used for the daily operation of the District.  Taxes collected from the I&S Rate are used to pay the annual debt payment from past bond referendums approved by voters. The proposed tax rate attached in the following link was posted in the paper at the time of the LCM CISD Budget Meeting. LCM has elected to adopt a higher rate than was posted for the 2023-24 school year. The rate listed in the table below is the tax rate that the LCM Board has proposed for the 24-25 school year.

LITTLE CYPRESS-MAURICEVILLE CISD IS PROPOSING AN ADOPTED TAX RATE THAT WILL NOT RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY DECREASE BY 21.5% PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $0
